Here are some bits from my exhibition, which was on view at the Archive of Fine Arts in Prague in November 2025. Thanks Viola from the Archive for the opportunity! The exhibition consisted from my artist books, objects, animations. During whole exhibition was possible to buy benefit prints for Médecins sans frontières. They are doing lots of hard and important work in many corners of this world, but here we were specifically raising funds for their work in Gaza. One of the prints was motive I made in collaboration with urbdrm (thank you!), which was revealed during the opening of the exhibition. There was David Lynch´s exhibition just around the corner. This fact is totally unbelievable and surreal for me. Some photos by me: And some from Viola Borková (thanks!): Collaboration with urbdrm: Short video from the exhibition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwiBZpY0-Us
There is no island…
Well, i decided to start a blog here, to liven up this place a little. I don´t know how often i will write posts here, but i will. You can expect some insights into the stuff i do, some news of course and also some random ramblings, because why not, right? So welcome, welcome! Until the end of November you can visit my exhibition called Sedimenty (Sediments) in The Archive of Fine Arts in Prague. You can see few of my artist books and some other stuff there also. I really appreciate the opportunity to exhibit there. ArtArchiv DOX – Dan Nguyen: Sedimenty I just uploaded three parts of ongoing series of chlorophyl prints i called „Nikde není ostrov (There is no island anywhere). It´s seasonal stuff and i only use fallen leaves that i collect from the ground. These i scanned and then edited digitally as they slowly fade away on daylight. I really like the chlorophyl printing process as no chemicals are involved and it´s all natural and you never know how it will turn out. Well, every specie has different exposition time and strenght of reaction, but also with the one i used mostly – Ginkgo Biloba – it´s always adventure. I recommend new Lisa O´Neill´s album as a soundtrack… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nbm-pNGPuo8&list=RDNbm-pNGPuo8&start_radio=1 I did chlorophyl prints also for the artist book Hlas (Voice) II Artist Book which i specifically made for the exhibition at The Archive of Fine Arts in Prague. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_bFyPWy4r8
